The synthesis of optimal digital gas pressure control in on-board oxygen supply systems

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the synthesis of control laws in the principal element of the on-board oxygen supply system, integrated into on-board avionic. Being a pressure controller, this element is to deliver an outlet pressure as required by an applied pre-set control law. The paper is focused on how laws governing the work of the pressure regulating valve are synthesized by a smart control system. The research uses a differential game method and offers a minimax problem solution. The object to be controlled is exposed to deterministic disturbance in the form of a changing inlet pressure and the changing rate of gas flow as well as two control factors: useful u(t) and destabilizing or «opposing», also known as the errors of gas-flow controllers. Thus the control signal is formed which ensures stability and required dynamic characteristics under outer disturbances. The feed-back parameters are to be determined out of accuracy requierements. This makes it possible to form ways for achieving the higher accuracy of the valve in question.
