Abstract:
During their professional activity engineering company employees and materials and equipment enterprise-suppliers in nuclear industry have to work with common branch nomenclature material and equipment catalog database (DB) developed by "NIAEP". It makes necessary to use more effective processes for working with catalog. The informational training system (ITS) has been developed by NGTU to automate training and examination processes for engineering company employees and enterprise-suppliers working with DB. The ITS provides for: user logon and make accounts for them; storing, editing and looking through training materials and tests; configure different scenarios or training programs (set of scenarios) for trainees including content allocation and editing of these scenarios in electronic form; ability to pass scenarios and tests by users according to preconfigured settings including each user history storing; reports generation based on trainee or trainee group education results. The ITS includes several subsystems: subsystem "Test constructor" (local application) ? allows to make up interactive training and testing scenarios; subsystem "Training-testing" (web application) ? allows to pass training and testing based on designed scenarios using in-teractive graphics; subsystem "Training management" (web application) ? allows to make and look through course and test assignments; subsystem of administration (web application) ? allows to manage accounts; data warehouse - includes texts and training materials, user accounts and test results; data processing subsystem - provides for interconnection between another subsystems and for requests processing. The ITS helps boost practical skills for effective work with catalog. It reaches due to: structured information representation for users; availability of training and testing system with wide state-of-the-art graphic and multimedia technologies; interactive training ability; supplying testing history information to give reasons for improving test results; generate statistics based on different training results which can help to estimate theme complicity and training materials quality.
