Abstract:
One of the gas transportation enterprises key work stream is to be responsible for guaranteeing reliable and safe pipeline and equipment operation. Gas transportation system operating benefits are inextricably related to their technical condition which is controlled and maintained by using a variety of activities: monitoring, preventive diagnostics, analytical data processing and forecasting. The set of analytical tasks includes the following: stress-strain state value and stress-strain state models generation subject to corrosion; long-haul gas pipeline seismic stability section models generation; analysis of long-haul gas pipeline dynamic stress sections; logical-and-probabilistic and cause-and-effect complex models generation; software simulators development; medium and long term long-haul gas pipeline section states forecasting; stability valuation and monitoring sections ranking using the complex condition parameter; aggregation data monitoring procedures enhancement; development of procedures for the effective information visualization; on-the-fly (dispatcher) decisions making support for pipeline operating modes management; administrative and technical decisions making support for monitoring sections technical condition management including maintenance procedures. Implementation of proposed analytical tasks in the long-haul gas pipelines technical condition monitoring systems will allow to expand their functionality, increase gas transmission system operating benefits and will also help to make gas pipeline and equipment exploitation safe and reliable.
