Information system of the project management in the nuclear industry

Abstract:
Main task of project manager - to provide control of risks and deviations of project main integral parameters (time, quality, cost), as well as provide communication of project participants and resolve conflict situations whenever occurred. Project manager portal (PMP) has been developed for data consolidation of projects related to complex engineering facilities in nuclear power industry, information support of project managers and support of managerial solutions taken. Strategic target of PMP is to increase NPP construction control efficiency using advanced information technologies thus promoting: quality increase of solutions taken, cost reduction in NPP erection and NPP erection time reduction. Main purpose of PMP is information support of: NPP construction monitoring by means of analysis of organizations - NPP construction project participants activity analytic indices - solutions taking by management and on-site office during construction and in-process control. Project manager portal collects reporting data from JSC «NIAEP» specialized information systems. PMP software allows to carry out monitoring of NPP construction procedure based on key indices and used both by project manager and project office participants. Consolidated information space for all NPP erection project participants is done by means of access to process information modules interfacing: 3D-model, spherical panoramic pictures, display board of equipment arrival, statement of costs and expenses for completed works, receivables and payables, storage facilities, staff control, task orders management, assistance chain, Web-cameras, analytical analysis. Thus, PMP has all information concentrated, necessary for taking managerial solutions in construction monitoring of complex engineering facilities. Use of uniform tools in all projects ensures uniform control style of design development and construction of nuclear power facilities. Actual information promptly provided for solutions taken promotes efficiency increase of projects control. Further efficiency increase of projects control specific to nuclear power industry complex engineering facilities creation can be done by means of development and use of information analytic methodology and procedures related to intellectualization of solutions taken support.
