Abstract:
The article deals with the accuracy of determining the target location in a distributed radar system ( DRS ) consisting of a set of spaced a known distance transceivers positions. In such DRS each position irradiates its unique painted by code modulation probing signal to area of responsibility, whereby the data signals can be distinguished on the receiving side . This property allows DRS to determine the coordinates via distance measuring method , all probe signals are emitted simultaneously. The article provides a detailed description of both the algorithm for determining the location of the target and sources of errors , which is subject to the algorithm . These errors can be divided into two groups: errors depending on the relative position of the observed target and transceivers and errors, associated with the inaccuracy of determining the delay of the reflected signals. The first group of errors in the article wasn-t investigated. One of the reasons for errors relating to the second group is the lack of time synchronization products. The materials of the article presents the results of simulation in the presence of these errors , and demonstrates the ability to work without prior DRS synchronization positions among themselves.
