Abstract:
At present time the methods of data processing with using the man unique capabilities to perceive and to study the images arouse the more and more growing interest. The cognitive (promotional for knowledge) graphic images (icons) are instrumental means to carry out investigations in different fields. The cognitive graphic (CG) allows to visualize the numerical data what assists the process of task solution. The programs are under development dedicated to study and to visualize the multidimensional data and to implement the conversion of numerical data about objects with great number of parameters into visual graphic dynamic patterns intended to simplify the problem of analyzing the multidimensional data. With computer aiding the multidimensional data can be brought into correlation with cognitive graphic patterns in the form of integral functional (color-brightness, contour, polar and so forth) profiles or scenes, reflecting the features of the process state. Unfortunately, today we have no unified principles of cognitive-graphic data presentation, but we recognize the fact, that the graphic patterns can contain (in compressed and simultaneously accessible for user form) information sufficient for taking an adequate solution. Each pattern must be created particularly with taking into account a specific applied field, studied in process of the object life and interpreted by the expert on the basis of cumulative knowledge. The following examples have been considered in the paper: a circuit for space picture processing with the purpose to discover in it an aircraft; a screen interface of the ground station КИС with cognitive graphic augmentation; a circuit of cognitive imaging of spacecraft orientation with usage of 3-D model. The main attention in the paper is drawn to the principles of cognitive-graphic presentation. The Fourier transform was considered and the technology of cognitive-graphic presentation of some typical signals was described. The purpose of all considered transformations - data preparation to the format convenient for subsequent analysis by the man-operator. The cognitive patterns of signals are well distinguishable and representable in a compact form, allowing to recognize the data even in condition of interferences. The cognitive-graphic presentations being under development in this area shall underlie the software means of signal visualization and building of the effective training-simulation systems. The software means based on models of primary processing, identification and graphic presentation of radio signal structures, assignment of circuits for solving the task of current state visualization will be useful for training the operators of radio monitoring systems.
