Experimental investigation of accuracy applied to radio-frequency emitter passive direction-finding

Abstract:
The problems of correspondence between potential and real accuracies of radio-frequency emitter passive direction-finding are considered. Relations derived from Cramer-Rao inequality for direction-finding algorithm by maximum likelihood method are used to receive potential accuracy. Real values of accuracy estimates are obtained by means of computer simulation and full-scale experiment for various antenna systems with spaced receiving points that find bearing angles of short-wave radio emitters
