Questions of optimum distribution of weight of means of electronic warfare and raise-of-fighting-damage-tolerance onboard the flying device

Abstract:
In the paper, the question of optimum distribution of a useful load of flying devices between electronic warfare (EW) equipment and means of raise of fighting damage tolerance is considered at performance of a flight task. For the decision of this task, the analytical method on the basis of criterion Q as a measure of efficiency of joint application of EW equipment and useful load of the flying device is offered. Further for optimization of the criterion Q, the criterion function in the form of probability of defeat Pk of the flying device arranged simultaneously by EW equipment and means of Raise-of-Fighting-Damage-Tolerance, is received by any attacking complex of air defence. Further, the general task on minimization of losses of a group of aircrafts (M) overcoming air defence system is solved by optimum distribution of weight of a useful load of the flying device between EW equipment and means of Raise-of-Fighting-Damage-Tolerance under the followingcondition: common weight of EW equipment and means of Raise-of-Fighting-Damage-Tolerance should be constant. This task is solved with application of standard computing procedures of search of an extremum. As a result it is shown that useful loads of the flying device, consisting of means of raise of fighting damage tolerance and EW equipment , should intend mainly for EW equipment which ensures much greater efficiency of protection of the flying device than means of Raise-of-Fighting-Damage-Tolerance, at identical weights.
