Abstract:
The problems of quality visualization of digital models of the Arctic zone maps are observed. It is noted that the generalization of such a map should not only ensure certain standards for derivative scale of the map, but also maintain a certain level of semantics. An approach to the definition of the relationship between n geoconcepts to be distributed across N composites is shown, so that each composite contains geoconcepts most similar to each other on the set of m selected descriptive signs. The function of geoconcepts similarity by k of selected features, normalized to the maximum range of the characteristic values on the set of n geoconcepts, is introduced. The investigated method can be used for other kinds of map processing similar to generalization, for example, for typification - the process of the allocation of bearing type.
