An improved method of detection of color computer-readable zone

Abstract:
A problem of information input from paper to the system for its subsequent processing, storage, transmission is considered. Delegating paper prints colored machine-readable document object in the system of electronic document management gives an opportunity to more convenient control over the movement of documents. However, these systems require a separate scanning of certain parts of the document as you type it. Scanning an entire sheet of the document will lead to some difficulties in processing, but also eliminate the repeated scanning of the same document, which will significantly reduce the time for entering the document. Previously the method of segmentation of the original scan a document with the following analysis of segments identified for detecting colored machine-readable zone was proposed. The detector features a computer-readable color offered use of rectangular scanning area, however, limited use of this type of field required modification of the method of analysis of identified segments is identified. This article describes the use of rectangular scanning area, and proposed to use the circle as a mask. The resulting application of the detection objects are further filtered based on the unique features inherent in a machine-readable zone of colored markers. The article also describes the advantages and limitations of the proposed method.
