Abstract:
Maintaining a mapping between an electronic version of a business process and its domain area prototype, which evolves over time, is a non-trivial task requiring significant investments of resources. One way to cut down on this type of expenses is using domain-specific tools for editing business rules. This paper presents fundamental design decisions and describes implementation details for a software component allowing electronic document type editing for EDH, the document management system at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). The effects of the decisions taken on the availability of the system are discussed
