Problem Statement. Automation of information technologies for the space industry is developing rapidly, in connection with which the issues of effective interaction between man and machine are becoming increasingly important and acute. This paper examines the problem of designing automated control systems for spacecraft (ACS SC) based on design ergonomics.
Objective. To study the automated information display system (AIS) in the spacecraft automated control system as a subsystem, and to evaluate the efficiency of information interaction in the «man-machine» control loop. The influence of the cognitive functions of the human operator (HO) in the AIS on the degree of achievement of the goals of the spacecraft automated control system functioning is studied.
Results. The idea of increasing the efficiency of information interaction in the AIS ACS KA by implementing ergonomic solutions is formulated. A number of terms are defined that characterize information interaction in the «man-machine» control loop from the standpoint of design ergonomics. The hypothesis about the temporary nature of the efficiency indicator of information interaction in the AIS ACS KA is formulated and proven.
Practical Significance. The developed concept of design ergonomics of the ASOI ACS KA allows to formulate scientifically based requirements for improving information interaction in the «human-machine» control loop.
