In recent years, the unlicensed 2.4GHz band has been developed. Wireless networks Bluetooth (IEEE 802.15.1), Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11), WirelessHART (IEEE 802.15.4) and a number of others operate in this range, which are actively used in both the residential and industrial sectors. When new networks are introduced and old ones are expanded, their settings are not always optimal. The frequencies of wireless devices may overlap, resulting in reduced transmission speeds and mutual interference.
Goal – to develop a spectrum meter from inexpensive modules available on the market and analyze the spectrum in the most saturated frequency range of 2.4 GHz in residential buildings and industrial buildings.
The paper presents the results of measuring channel congestion in residential and commercial buildings, which makes it possible to determine the introduction of new wireless devices in free channels.
The proposed device allows you to determine the most favorable communication channels. The use of such an algorithm can significantly improve the performance of wireless systems, ensuring stable and reliable data transmission. However, it is also necessary to take into account the potential limitations of such an algorithm, such as computational complexity and limited resources on network devices. In general, the algorithm for finding a free communication channel plays an important role in the development and optimization of wireless networks, and its further research and improvements will contribute to the effective functioning of networks.
