In various radio engineering applications, for example, when sounding radio channels, in order to localize the location of both useful and interfering signal sources, as well as to ensure the operation of spatiotemporal interfaces of electronic equipment, it is important to use methods for estimating the angular parameters of spatial signals with high resolution. The deterministic concept of "resolution" does not sufficiently characterize the effectiveness of high-resolution estimates and is appropriate as a statistical criterion, in contrast to what is known from the literature.
The purpose of the presented material is to describe and analyze the resolving power of a joint pseudoestimation of the angular spectrum based on the unitary ESPRIT modification and the MUSIC modification using a modified covariance data matrix.
Analytical description of the joint pseudoestimation of the angular spectrum based on the unitary modification of ESPRIT and the MUSIC method using the modified covariance matrix of the data. The effectiveness of joint assessment in the statistical sense with a consistent and inconsistent model.
The theoretical results obtained can be used in the design of direction finders in radar and radio navigation.
