Currently, a large number of communication stations operate in the C-band for both stationary and mobile applications. When it comes to mobile systems, especially portable ones, a number of requirements are imposed on them for weight and size parameters. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an antenna array (AA) with a small profile and low weight for use in such communication terminals. Development of a low-profile AA with a combination of two frequency ranges.
A combined radiator on aperture coupling using the method of multilayer printed circuit boards has been developed. Based on it, a low-profile dual-band AA model has been developed and manufactured. Electrical parameters of the resulting model have been measured. The implementation of the described AA design will simplify the manufacturing technology while achieving a low profile and low weight.
