Broadband wireless access systems are relevant for civil and military applications. BBWS allows to increase the speed of large data transfer, as well as to achieve high noise immunity when using a low-power amplifier. For use in mobile communication stations, an urgent task is to develop low-profile antenna systems capable of covering a wide range of operating frequencies.
Purpose – development of a low-profile broadband antenna array covering more than 30% of the frequency band.
A broadband aperture-coupled emitter based on a meta-surface has been developed. On its basis, a low-profile broadband antenna array model has been developed and manufactured. Measurements of the electrical parameters of the resulting model and their comparative analysis with the electrodynamic model have been carried out. The implementation of the described antenna array allows designing low-profile broadband systems based on metasurfaces and aperture-coupled structures.
