At the present stage of development of the military-industrial sector, enterprises developing weapons and military equipment are moving to the creation of electronic design documentation (EDD) for these samples. With all the variety of available hardware and software for the development of EDD, the developer should choose an acceptable option for their use based on their own financial capabilities and the need to meet the requirements of the Customer.

To analyze current trends in the development and application of electronic design documentation for weapons and military equipment, methods for presenting EDD are considered and their brief comparative description is given. The options for using an electronic signature and information-certifying sheets for the development of EDD are given. Attention is paid to the creation of electronic operational documents, which for weapons and military equipment should be developed in the form of interactive electronic technical manuals.

Familiarization with trends in the development and application of EDD will help the developer choose an acceptable option for their creation in a form convenient for use by the consumer.
