Abstract:

The conduct of hostilities in urban areas, in wooded and mountainous areas, the saturation of infantry units with rocket-propelled grenade launchers, as well as the use of homing ammunition, strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and man-portable missile systems attacking protected objects from the upper hemisphere make the task of detecting attacking ammunition enemy from any direction. To solve this problem, it is necessary to develop a radar target designation system for the active protection of an object for timely detection of AB within the upper hemisphere relative to the protected object, determining their coordinates and movement parameters, and timely issuing a command to activate protective ammunition. It is the solution of these problems that will lead to an increase in the effectiveness of the use of complexes for the active protection of objects from attacking ammunition, which is the goal of the research carried out within the framework of this work.

The differences between the proposed modified method of target designation for the system of active protection of objects from attacking ammunition from the known method are significant, since they make it possible to simplify the technical implementation of the known method by halving the number of receiving-transmitting homodyne units with antennas and radar information processing units, weight and size characteristics equipment and expanding the scope by providing the possibility of its use on mobile objects with limited carrying capacity.
