The influence of harmonic interference on the probability of erroneous reception of radio signals with amplitude-shift keying is considered. The purpose of this work is to analyze errors in receiving signals with amplitude shift keying under the influence of harmonic interference with a random initial phase. It is assumed that a useful signal, additive white Gaussian noise, and interference are simultaneously supplied to the demodulator input in the receiver. The dependence of the energy of the demodulated symbol on the relative frequency detuning, the initial phase and the level of interference has been established. Expressions are obtained for calculating the probability of an error in receiving radio signals in the presence of interference. It is shown that the reception error depends significantly on the initial phase of the interference. In this regard, the statistical averaging of the error probability over the initial phase of the interference was performed. To establish the regularities, the calculations of the average probability of error in receiving radio signals with amplitude shift keying for a number of level values and the relative detuning of the interference frequency, as well as the ratio of the bit energy to the spectral noise density in the absence of interference for three values of the size of the alphabet of symbols, were performed. The graphical dependences of the averaged error probability on the ratio of the average bit energy of the ensemble to the spectral density of the additive white Gaussian noise are presented. The dependences of the increase in the reception error and energy losses on the level and frequency detuning of the harmonic interference have been established. It is shown how many times the average probability of reception error under the influence of interference increases in comparison with the error probability in the absence of interference. It was found that with an increase in the detuning of the interference frequency, its influence on the probability of a reception error decreases. The difference in the ratios of the bit energy to the spectral density of the noise under the influence and absence of noise for constant alphabet volume and the initial phase of the noise is determined. It was found that this difference does not depend on the ratio of the average bit energy of the ensemble to the spectral density of the additive white Gaussian noise in the absence of interference and is determined by the amplitude of the interference.
