Abstract:

The article describes the method of calculating the ratio of the power of the self-noise of the antenna-feeder path-receiver system to the power of external sources. Power noise ratio is calculated at the input of the receiver. This parameter is proposed to be used as a criterion for optimizing the dimensions of antennas of a range of superlong waves – long waves, because in this range the noises of the ether are very large. If the external noise received by the antenna is greater then or equal to the system noise of the antenna – feeder path – receiver, then the useful signal that exceeds the external noise will differ in the receiver. 

An example is given of using the ratio of the power of internal noise and the power of external noise as a criterion for optimizing the diameter of a framework antenna for the range of superlong waves – long waves. In the example it is shown that for a frame antenna in the range from 10 kHz to 300 kHz the optimal diameter is 7 meters.
