Abstract:

The purpose of the assessment of simulated data transmission networks is to increase the efficiency of the developed data transmission networks of special aero space forces systems that meet the requirements of the technical specifications for reducing possible delays in the transmission of information. The article discusses the possibility of evaluating the effectiveness of simulated data transmission networks of special aerospace forces systems using a generalized indicator. This generalized indicator represents the volume of the data transmission networks defined in the metric space by private indicators of the quality of functioning, such as performance, timeliness of data transmission and reliability of data transmission. These performance indicators are interrelated and the values of one or two of them are not enough to assess the simulated data network.

It provides estimates of throughput, reliability and timeliness of simulated data transmission paths. The assumption is introduced in the article that for the simulated data transmission network of special systems of aerospace forces, the message of the main traffic transmitted with a delay exceeding the requirements allowed by the technical task is erroneous. The space of indicators of the quality of functioning of the simulated data transmission network makes it possible to evaluate the effectiveness of the network.

Using the methodology for modeling the paths of data transmission networks, a structural scheme is developed, the elements of the data transmission path of which have minimal delays. When transmitting a given number of messages in per second, the resulting transmission delay of an average length message is estimated after minimizing delays. The number of transmitted messages per second is estimated, the transmission delays of which do not exceed the required values. If by changing the elements of the data transmission paths it is not possible to bring the efficiency of the designed data transmission network, to a value close to one hundred percent. It is not necessary to infinitely change the structure of the data transmission path, it is enough to limit the amount of transmitted excess side (service) information represented by frames, packets, segments to meet the requirements terms of reference for data transmission networks of special systems of the military space forces.
