Abstract:

The principles for constructing high-speed satellite communications systems imply the use of technologies such as the use of satellites with multi-beam antennas in the space segment, and the central earth stations in the ground segment, which control many peripheral earth stations operating in the Ka/Q-frequency bands. Therefore, it is extremely important to effectively use the frequency and energy resource of central earth stations and airborne relay systems.

The increase in throughput due to the efficient use of the resource is achieved by the distribution of the resource, in accordance with the conditions of use. The developed resource allocation methodology is distinguished by an orderly directed search for a solution. The technique is intended for the static distribution of the frequency-energy resource. An important aspect of the technique is to identify the maximum throughput by the used signal-code design.

The article presents the results of the implementation of the methodology in applied tasks related to satellite communications planning.
