When building a high-precision system of time-frequency synchronization, an urgent problem is to reduce the error in determining the code pseudorange, including due to the multipath propagation of the navigation signal.
Present a way to reduce the multipath error and experimentally show its effectiveness.
The proposed method is based on the use of a multi-element antenna array in the time-frequency synchronization system, which allows focusing the radiation pattern on a «direct» navigation signal. After the implementation of the method, an experiment was conducted in which the code pseudorange was measured by a single antenna and a multi-element antenna array. The experimental results show that the use of an antenna array with 5 antenna elements reduces the multipath error by approximately 2,5 times. The results of this work can be used to build a high-precision time-frequency synchronization system.
