The article considers the principles of construction and the possibility of practical implementation of FSS structures with the properties of an artificial magnetic conductor, a forbidden electromagnetic zone and space-frequency selectivity in the antenna array for: reducing the profile height, increasing the operating frequency band, reducing the effective scattering surface of the antenna array, creating microstrip phased array antennas with low level of cross-polarization radiation, the implementation of combined antenna array.
