Abstract:
Characteristics of optimal space-time processing of orthogonal in the frequency domain coherent signals of MIMO RADAR with antenna arrays as a transmitter and a single antenna receiver with synthetic aperture have been examined in this paper. According to the Neyman-Pearson criterion there has been synthesized statistically optimal multi-channel filter at the output of single receiver antenna. This filter is an optimal detector, which provides parallel surveillance of space and forming high resolution range elements with duration inverse proportional to bandwidth of multi-frequency signal. Each channel of the synthetic detector has been tuned its own combination of the components of the vectors of the expected informative parameters of the ranging signal. Different variants of structural patterns of angle- and range-channels formation have been analysed depending on the broadbandness of a range multi-frequency signal as well as on availability or lack of apriori information of a target coordinates. Under comparable conditions potentially achievable profit in range resolution has been shown in the studied MIMO Radar in comparison with standard parallel surveillance Radar.
