Abstract:

An automated scanning spectrometer for ferromagnetic resonance was developed and manufactured to remove the angular dependences of the resonance fields and the width of ferromagnetic resonance lines of thin magnetic films, along which saturation magnetizations and characteristics of the anisotropy fields at any local portion of the sample are determined. The blocks of signal processing and control of stepping motors, power supplies of Helmholtz rings in the scanning of a constant magnetic field and in its modulation are described. The system for receiving and processing information from the measuring head of the spectrometer, carried out exclusively by digital methods, is considered, which minimizes distortions introduced into the useful signal.
