Abstract:
The article describes methods of radio emission source position measurement from aircrafts and their problems. We propose a method to improve the accuracy by improving the integration of antenna spatial orientation and terrain characteristics in measurement area. In a first step the method considers the spatial orientation of the antenna relative to the plane and the spatial orientation and position of the aircraft by successive transition from one coordinate system to another. The second stage is considered relief in the measurement area. The authors modeled the proposed method of radio emission source position measurement from aircrafts for flat and hilly terrain. It was also performed the experimental verification on the IL-18, the results of which are in good agreement with the model results.
