Abstract:
Design and construction problems of concept-new hardware and software system (HSS) for L-band AESA measurements are considered. Question of HSS functionality improvement with adding configurator of measurement complex (CMC) which may exclude manual connection of HSS modules are described. Structural schemes of HSS with and without CMC are considered. It is considered the main advantages of CMC with using different amplifying modules. Time reduction approach of AESA measurements in closed path with use of automated signal distribution system (ASDS) are described. Operation concept, advantages and differences of ASDS from analogues are described. Factors, which may influence on reliability of noise measurements and main problems of spectral purity of HSS are considered. Selection approaches of reference signal generator, preamplifier, terminal amplifier and power supply for AESA spectral characteristics measurements are described. AESA phase noise measurement results before and after actions of spectral purity improving are presented. It is confirmed approaches for providing reliable L band AESA spectral characteristics measurement.
