Abstract:
The article deals with the construction of the training simulator unit for the crews of a ground-based self-propelled medium-range anti-aircraft missile system (SAM). The article states prerequisites for the establishment of such a simulator, the main ideas of its con-struction, the structure of simulator software and hardware, as well as the current and future state of its development.
The introduction of the article states the complexity of modern anti-aircraft missile systems crew performance with the emphasis on the importance of personnel continuous training to improve teamplay level. As an effective approach to crew training the imitation of combat assets is indicated, and efficiency factors of this approach are listed. This part reports on the development of training simulator complex for crews of TELAR and the target illumination and missile guidance radar of «Buk-M2E» SAM, and the main features of this training complex are specified.
The bulk of the article includes the scheme of the unit with simulator-s structure of software and hardware explanations, the purpose and capabilities of its elements, including TELAR regular onboard hardware and software used in the simulator. The operation and functionality of the instructor automated workstation (AWS) are also described. These are illustrated with of one of the workstation software GUI dialogs appearance. The general logic of construction and operation of the external conditions and targets environment simulator are explained.
The conclusion of the article reports on the simulator production versions, common technical specifications for all versions of the si-mulator, and lists the main stages of this project development.
