Generator with electronic control of ultra short pulse width

Abstract:
The schematic of the ultra-shot pulse generator with width electronic control is suggested in the aticle. The width of formed impulses is determinate by the switching time of SRD from conducting state to nonconducting state. The research of operation of SRD in mode of ultra short pulses generation was done. Switching time depend on the operation mode, namely, the direct current value through diode. This dependence allows us to explain the processes in the SRD semiconductor structure, while pulses generate. The mechanism of tuning generator-s operating mode by the variable resistors was proposed for electronic control of ultra short pulse width. The width of formed pulses was in limits from 350 ps to 1400 ps. Wherein, the pulse-s amplitude was without changes. This approch allow to adapt the signal we use for miscellaneous communication tasks.
