Abstract:
The most acceptable for communication in the North Pole are highly elliptical (HEO) 12 hour orbit type «Molniya», or 24 hour orbit «Tundra» with the angle of inclination of the orbital plane to the Equatorial plane of ~63°. Of certain interest 24 hour geosynchro- nous orbit with an inclination angle to the plane of the equator 54°. The most important parameter is the angle of visibility of the spacecraft during the communication session. As a result of the energy calculations it was obtained that in order to provide high throughput in full duplex satellite radio links in the considered geographical conditions should: use of transponders spacecraft «Meridian» working in X- and C-bands. Taking into ac- count the energy requirements, the transponder's range must be connected to a receiving and transmitting parentalleave antenna 5°x5°; to provide the operator the ability to determine the location of the spacecraft in orbit and its subsequent tracking with consid- eration of the peculiarities of the geographical definition of a reference azimuth direction in the North Pole area, subject to the avail- ability in the earth station of the inertial system with built-in navigation system and available in the database of the station data about the current location of the satellite in orbit. In practice, confirmed the possibility of providing multimedia sharing mobile subscribers with the control centre, including VoIP and videoconferencing, using duplex connection direction with bitrate up to 256 kbps mode to direct relay of the signal. In addition work was provided radio-mode signal processing (regeneration of signals) on Board at bitrate of 4,8 kbps or more.
