Abstract:
Construction of modern high-speed communications and information processing is impossible without the use of devices forming a grid reference frequency. The article discusses the implementation of the voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), which is part of the PLL circuit, designed in a standard CMOS process 1P6M 180 nm. Implementation of the VCO with center frequency of 3,2 GHz is due to a number of problems related to the technological limitations of the process and the absence of inductors. As a result, the best solution is to provide a VCO based on the signal propagation delay line. Management of the VCO by changing the load switching circuit in the generator. The calculations of the characteristics of the control. The comparison of the characteristics of the VCO control with various control systems.
