Control device operating point of the electro-optical modulator

Abstract:
The results of the development of the device stabilize the operating point electro-optical modulator (EOM) as a part of fiber optic link. By comparing the optical power at the input and output of the modulator formed error deviation of the operating point, the value of which was used for its stabilization by applying DC bias to the EOM. The quality of the device has been tested in the stability of the measurement signal of the reference frequency of 100 MHz from hydrogen frequency standard CH1-75 as it passes through a fiber- optic cable length of 500 m. As a result of tests, it was a positive conclusion on the device as part of fiber optic link to the EOM.
