Results of development of radionavigation system for marine customers

Abstract:
The article provides information about the main stages of development of marine radio navigation system (RNS) «Krabik-BM». Devel- opment of RNS was initiated by the scientific and production «Sibtcvetmetavtomatika» in 1981 for the needs of Geology. Performed development has led to the fact that in 1986 was released a series of RNS, which has been tested and used for the mining coordi- nates determination in the offshore area. In 1989 there was a proposal to use of RNS for the purpose of radionavigation, which led to the testing of the system in the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic sea, which confirmed that the system is not inferior to foreign analogues in its main technical characteristics. In the early 2000-ies work on the design and production of «Krabik-BM» RNS continued by JSC «NPP «Radiosvyaz» of Krasnoyarsk. In 2002 this RNS prototype successfully passed State testing in the Bering sea to the Kamchatka Peninsula. Then 2003 was begun the serial production of system «Krabik-BM» for determination the coordinates and motion parame- ters of marine objects. In 2007 system was upgraded for the needs, associated with the transition to the new operating frequency range, after which the RNS carried out the Interdepartmental tests in the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic sea. Currently undergoing an- other RNS modernization, associated with the transition to new components. In the framework of the modernization is planned to develop new software for primary and secondary processing of information, as well as several other improvements, the introduction of which promises to improve the technical characteristics of the system and expand its functionality. This will allow further use of this RNS to successfully address the problems it is facing.
