Evaluation of BER for BPSK modulation and FM modulated by BPSK

Abstract:
This article is described BER performance evaluation of BPSK and combined modulation FM and BPSK (FM modulated by BPSK). In the paper are obtained BER and SNR final expressions of those modulations and BER curves based on these formulas. The combined modulation has BER value less than BPSK when modulation index m>1,607. In case combined modulation the BER value of 9,2∙10-8 is obtained at SNR of 10 dB and m of 2. It is 41,9 times smaller than BER of BPSK. Result data of this paper can be used to design digital communication systems.
