Abstract:
The main content of this research is the analysis of the proposed design and layout of schemes of collapsible reflectors. The analysis was conducted using finite element modeling. The result was obtained reflector design that meets the following conditions: the nec- essary rigidity and strength when exposed to wind loads, minimum weight, minimum overall dimensions in transport position, manu- facturability and aesthetic appearance of the reflector. The paper describes the optimal design of the reflector. Identified weaknesses and made conclusions about the possibility of further optimization of the design.
