Abstract:
In the COSPAS-SARSAT to determine the coordinates emergency position indicating radio beacons (EPIRB) for one flight low-orbit spacecraft (SC) are quite difficult to implement the determination of the location of the signal source. Wait for a second span of the SС significantly reduces the efficiency of the notification of the distress vessel (1,5 to 9-10 hours or more). To overcome this problem, i.e. enable location EPIRB at the first detection of a signal and to improve the accuracy of direction finding an EPIRB from the satellite of the COSPAS-SARSAT has developed the scheme of a new onboard receiver combined with a direction finder in which it is proposed to use the position of the side receiving antennas in the form of a rectangular triangle. The principle of measurement is based by calculating the sum and difference of difference of phases between the antenna elements. Choosing the difference between bases of antenna elements sufficiently small to ensure the formation of a rough, but unambiguous scale reference azimuth, elevation and orientation angle of the EPIRB. Forming the indirect method, namely by adding the phase shifts at different measurement bases, large gauge, you can get accurate but ambiguous scale. The introduction of the new scheme onboard receiver of EPIRB signals, providing direction finding using the suggested ways of con- structing the antenna system can provide unambiguous and sufficiently accurate direction finding of signals of vessels in distress, and in the real-time determine their coordinates and transmitted to the ground points of reception of information for the organization of rescue.
