Abstract:
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) or drones are being increasingly used for various industrial and defense purposes. They are used for traffic networks security and monitoring for fuel and energy sector, traffic arteries, forested and secured areas patrolling, weather observation, reconnaissance and aerial photography. They are often used by the special state departments (Federal Security Service, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Customs Service). To support real-time control of remotely piloted aircraft, the continuous communication between on-board equipment and ground control station, as well as flight safety upgrade are to be provided. In this regard, crucial is the development of UAV control methods in the common air space where UAV usage efficiency and safety upgrade in remotely piloted control mode are the main objectives. In view of the foregoing the basic trends in robotic products design and efficiency improvement methods for UAV controlling are reviewed in the article, and the perspective research objectives are defined.
