Abstract:
High aspect ratio silver nanowire well ordered arrays are fabricated by templay-assisted deposition using porous anodic alumina. Nanowire diameter was varied in the range of 20-40 nm. Spectral optical and radiative properties of the nanostructures are investigated. In transmission and reflection spectra plasmonic resonances are found associated with transverse and longitudinal excitations in nanowires. Photoluminescence spectra were studied with excitation wavelength within and beyond the plasmonic resonance (at 325 and 400 nm). EIn both cases enhancement of radiative efficiency of isolated nanowire is shown to be attenuated in the volume of composite silver-alumina structure.
