Abstract:
The article deals with specifics of implementation and application area of guidance methods for bistatic passive guidance systems. A comparative analysis of such methods is given. The analysis shows that the best part of existing algorithms of trajectory control of observation for bistatic passive angle measuring systems is based on provision that optimal position of the information support aircraft is situated on a perpendicular to aircraft-to-target line. One group of the methods provides guidance of support aircrafts to any point the perpendicular, and other group provides guidance to a point which is selected with considerations of the aircraft safety. An algorithm based on gradient method of minimization of the goal function allows to maximize decrease of the average square error of localization of radio sources.
A modified method of gradient trajectory control implements prior construction of the required geometric configuration of receiving positions and radio sources, thus minimizing localization errors in bistatic angle measuring systems.
A method of simultaneous control of both positions, aimed at maximizing precision of radio sources localization, ensures faster minimization of localization errors and higher precision on initial guidance path compared with bistatic passive guidance systems based on division of the attack and support positions.
