The systems approach to signal and image processing

Abstract:
In the development of systems for various applications to consider diverse aspects of tasks. This is the precision of measuring or location systems, and the stability of the algorithms to various fluctuations and disturbances, and the computational complexity of algorithms and, therefore, the complexity of hardware solutions. If the solution of these problems has become easy to implement for modern computational tools in the processing of many one-dimensional signals (acoustic and radio), the processing of two-dimensional, and the more three-dimensional and moving images is a difficult technical problem to solve it requires huge memory and speed. Therefore of interest to the task of formalizing a system approach to signal and image processing. Presented a systematic approach to signal and image processing for quality two-dimensional signal processing, based on multiple criteria. The criteria of adequacy is proposed to use the representation of the signal and the index of difficulty. Provides an assessment of the effectiveness of the system of the quality criterion of image processing are considered test images as textures, derived from modeling of Gaussian fields with given correlation functions.
