Complex evaluation line-of-sight rotation angular velocity algorithm for radar head homing missile, using information about signal frequency deviation

Abstract:
Today the most used radars head homing "air-to-air" missiles methods for air targets requires the «missile-target» line-of-sight rotation angular velocity evaluation for its implementation in a missile. The line-of-sight rotation angular velocity is determined with the help of missiles head homing angular measuring channel by means of targets direction smooth measurements differentiation. To improve the accuracy of determining the line-of-sight rotation angular velocity and therefore homing method is possible due to introduction of a supplementary line-of-sight rotation angular velocity measuring channel using the reflection signals frequency deviation measurements. The proposed complex evaluation line-of-sight rotation angular velocity algorithm for radar head homing missile, additionaly uses signal frequency deviation information may be joined with existing method by entering an additional channel, which uses the spectrum characteristics measurements to estimate the line-of-sight rotation angular velocity, and merge the existing complex evaluation line-of-sight rotation angular velocity algorithm informations with the received informations. Introduction of frequency deviation meter reduces the dispersion of measurements as against the existing evaluation line-of-sight rotation angular velocity algorithm and simultaneously addresses the challenge of improving accuracy of the guidance in maneuvering targets because the actually dimension single value already evaluate a line-of-sight rotation angular velocity which is caused by target maneuvering.
