Video processing to detect the distortion pixels values based on contour analysis

Abstract:
In this paper describes a new method for detecting pixels with distorted values of the archive video signals. The proposed method is based on sequential analysis of contour images of adjacent frames with using the morphology-logical operations of erosion and the search of closed regions. It is proposed to use the search similar block on the of the obtained binary images and to detect with temporary breaks. The efficiency of the new approach is shown on several examples of detection of defects. Analysis of treatment results shows that the efficiency of the method does not depend on the size and shape of the region with defective values.
