Expansion of field of application of aircraft radars caused necessity to increase significantly not only amount of information but also rate of information acquisition. One of new effective methods of solving this problem is the use of two-beam (N-beam) active electronically scanned array antennas. They make it possible to obtain information not only during the scanning of air space but simultaneously during the scanning of an underlying surface. The analysis of variants of two-beam operation mode of aircraft radars is timely because it enables to take into account a number of features pertaining to energetic potential of the radars and to simultaneous operation of the receiver and transmitter channels.
