New Approach to Comparison of Classical Papers of H. Hyquist, V. Kotelnikov and C. Shannon and Theirs Impact on the Terminology
Authors:
Petre Tzv. Petrov
Abstract:
New approach to comparison between the three classical authors in the signal sampling, conversion and reconstruction theory and practice is proposed. The goal is to evaluate the relevance of the papers to the field and to show some of theirs week and strong points. The massively used terminology based on these classical papers was evaluated, in order to be seen the relation between the value of the paper and the number and frequency of the usage of the terms based on that paper. The search engine of Google was used to evaluate the terminology based on the papers. Some of the results are reported. It is shown that there is no direct relation between the value, quality, real impact, relevance to the field of the papers and the number and frequency of usage the «derived» terms.
