Determination of free amino acids in leaves of urticae dioicae

Abstract:
Medicinal herbs are a source of amino acids. Amino acids contribute significantly to the pharmacological action of plants, so you should normalize their content in raw materials and extraction preparations. Study of qualitative and quantitative composition of amino acids in medicinal herbs is of practical importance and is of scientific interest. Leaves of Urticae dioicae is officinal plant raw material included in the State Pharmacopoeia XI edition. In pharmacopeia article does not provide methods of quantitative determination of active substances that do not comply with the requirements of the pharmaceutical sciences as a whole. A draft pharmacopoeial article for the State Pharmacopoeia XII of leaves Urticae dioicae whole, crushed and powdered. Standardization provided to conduct quantitative content of chlorophyll and hydroxycinnamic acids by spectrophotometry, and also to establish the presence of scopoletin by TLC. A quantitative determination of the amount of free amino acids, based on the glutamic acid in the leaves of Urticae dioicae by the method of spectrophotometry. Experimentally, the optimal conditions of extraction of amino acids from the leaves of Urticae dioicae. Calculated characteristics validation of methods for medicinal plant materials nettle, indicating the possibility of its use for the purpose of standardization.
