Abstract:
Study has been done in 118 patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, nonspecified. We analysed myelograms with no signs of specific involvement or dilution with peripheral blood. Several differences from norm were identified. Most characteristic (69 % of cases) was elevation of blast cell count, changes in granulocytic differentiation and elevation of ortochromic normoblasts. Elevation of blast cell count (>=1 %) was associated with the diminution of overall survival (p=0,048). In granulocytic raw 2 signs had unfavourable prognostic significance: elevation of neutrophylic myelocytes (p=0,008) and diminution of neutrophylic segments (p=0,003). Elevation of orthochromic normoblasts was also associated with worse prognosis (p=0,041).
