New approach to study resources of useful plants with concept use "cenosis complex" is offered. Geobotanical structure of cenosis complex on an example of Rhaponticum carthamoides is revealed. The concept of «cenosis complex» includes a complex of communities with a species. Geobotanical structure of cenosis complex consists of phytocenosis with different levels. Rhaponticum carthamoides cenosis complex in the Altai-Sayan mountain area is revealed. The optimum part of its cenosis complex suitable for medicinal raw materials harvesting is defined.
