Abstract:
In recent years, numerous studies have shown that most pathological processes due to the progress of inflammation. Inflammation depends on the intensity of the antioxidant system. The compounds with different chemical structures and overall functionality are called «antioxidants» and affect cell signaling system. In connection with the foregoing list of modern antioxidants is important.
Source for a large number of biologically active heterocycles are the reaction of 1,2,4-threecarbonyl systems with various arilidenarilamines.
Reactions of pivaloilpirovinograd acid with Schiff bases led to derivation 3-hydroxy-1,5-substituted aryl-4-pivaloyl-2,5-dihydro-2-pyrrolone, which are quite promising to be studied as antioxidants and antimicrobial agents.
Antioxidant activity was studied on the Esсherichia coli BW 25113 strain grown aerobically in M9 minimal liquid medium with glucose. When constructing a model of oxidative stress with 3 mm hydrogen peroxide solution on cells of E. coli BW 25113 strain there was observed specific growth of cells per 1 hour with 6 substances of pyrrolones group. Earlier it was shown that pro-oxidant effect in a certain way protects E. coli cells from sizeable hydrogen peroxide concentration [5]. Anti-inflammatory activity of the synthesized 3-hydroxy-1,5-substituted aryl-4-pivaloyl-2,5-dihydro-2-pyrrolone investigated carrageenan edema model. The most important anti-inflammatory activity is in 3-hydroxy-1,5-bis-p-tolyl-4-pivaloyl-2,5-dihydro-2-pyrrolones.
