Study of the change of structural-mechanical properties of vaginal suppositories of lutenurin with antimicrobial action under the influence of the temperature factor

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to select a lipophilic bases and the optimum temperature range for carrying out technological operations of receipt of suppositories. Experiments. The study of the structural-mechanical characteristics of suppository mass with lutenurin on the basics of Witepsol - W-35 and Solid Fat (type A) was measured with a rotational viscometer «RHEOTEST-2» with a cylindrical device at 35 °C, human body temperature of 37 °C and the temperature holding process of manufacture of the dosage form.Based on these results, the magnitude of the limiting shear stress and effective viscosity was calculated and the curves of the kinetics of deformation suppositories on the basics of Witepsol - W-35 and Solid Fat (type A) was built [2, 3]. Conclusions. Based on the study of rheological properties of vaginal suppositories curves of the kinetics of deformation of suppositories was built that indicate intermolecular interactions, which can return the basics to a stable state. Established that the dosage form is a structured system with thixotropic properties, which are more pronounced in suppositories, made on the basis of Witepsol - W-35. The temperature regime of the production of suppositories (the processes of mixing, homogenization, filling in forms) in the range of 40°C provide sufficient fluidity suppozitory mass. This indicates the possibility of a mild heat treatment of suppozitory mass during the process, which positively affects the quality and stability of suppositories made on lipophilic basis [2, 4, 5].
